Welcome Welcome to championship newsletter number 3 for the 2015 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship. PLEASE SEE PAGE 2 FOR IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT EVENT RUNNING ORDERS. Once again crews faced tough conditions on round two, the Mid Wales Stages, and I’m pleased to report that the event ran smoothly without any major incidents despite some wet and slippery stages. Congratulations go to overall winners Nick Elliott and Dave Price as well as the other category and class winners. Conditions in Sweet Lamb were also tough for the service crews and they all deserve credit for carrying on in wind, rain, sleet, snow, thunder and lightning! Finally, I’d also like to thank the organisers and marshals for keeping the even running so well despite the weather. Now we have a little breather before round 3, the Pirelli Carlisle Rally on Saturday 25 April. Full details of this event are below and we’re really pleased with the format of the rally and the very compact route. Regs will be out within the next week for this event and round 4, the Severn Valley Stages on Saturday 30 May. Updated championship points should be available on the website by the time this newsletter arrives.

This year’s Rally runs on the 25th April is a year of big changes for our rally. We have a new format; a new championship; a new rally HQ; and lots of new challenges to look forward to. But change is good; change stops things getting stale; change keeps us, the organising team on our toes; and it also reinforces our drive to deliver a very good event.

Our top priority for this year’s rally is SAFETY . We cannot stress enough as to how important that this is to us. So we ask that if you are thinking of coming to marshal, to spectate or even participate on the rally – that you visit our !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and read it thoroughly. This year’s one day event is Round Three of the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship and of the West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship. The Rally will start from Carlisle’s Historic City Centre before heading out to Kielder Forest and finally finishing at Kielder Castle.
We are expecting another large turnout of spectator’s at the Ceremonial Start in Carlisle. Competing Cars will be at the Start up to one hour before they begin the Pirelli Carlisle Rally so the chance to be “up close and personal” with the competitors and their cars is not to be missed.
On Friday you will find our Help Desk, Service, Competitor Documentation and Scrutineering located at H&H Group, Montgomery Way, Rosehill, Carlisle.
But on Saturday the Service areas relocate to Kielder, for the remainder of the Rally.
